THE CAUSE OF PEACE.

THE KAISER ON CO-OPERATION.

(By Eleotbio Telegraph—Copyright.) (Per Presb Association.)

CHRISTIANIA, May 25. M. Loolind, President of the" Nobel Committee at Christiania, accepts the Matin's statement as to the Kaiser's desire for the nations to co-operate in the cause of peace, and says it is all the more probable as the Kaiser had just met Mr Roosevelt in Berlin, and Mr Roosevelt, while in Christiania, uttered the same idea. A new point is that the most prominent statesmen are seriously discussing the question. The difficulties are many and great, but the statesmen solving the problem in a practical form will earn a greater name in history than the founders of the great States.

IN THE TEMPLE OF PEACE.

A BUST OF KING EDWARD,

LONDON, May 25. The Peace Society held a notable gathering at the Guild Hall. Mr Andrew Carnegie paid a warm tribute to King Edward, amid cheers. Sir William Mathers proposed that the Society present a bust of King Edward to the Temple of Peace at the Hague.
