The Secretary to the General Post Office, in reply to a letter from the Wellington 'Chamber' of Commerce, says it does not appear that a saving in time of from four to six days in the conveyance of mails to the United Kingdom via Sydney and Suez is of sufficient importance to warrant the heavy' subsidy which would no doubt bo required. „
