THE PREMIER ON THE COAST.
(Per Press Association.) GREYMOUTII, May 24. Sir Joseph Ward arrived from Christchurch this evening, and was accorded a most enthusiastic reception. The station platform was crowded with people, and all the representatives of the local bodies were present. v The Mayor extended a hearty welcome to the Premier and three cheers were given. The Premier acknowledged the warm and hearty welcome, and said he was pleased to be again on the Coast. As the Premier's carriage left the station the large crowd cheered him. Arrangements are being made in all the towns of the Coast to entertain the Premier. The Premier unveils the Seddon memorial to-morrow, and special trains will be run. All the schools in the Grey district are closed for the day, and the cadets and volunteers will take part in to-morrow's ceremony. The Premier leaves the Coast on Saturday morning.
