Notice is given of dissolution of partnership between A. A. Greig and 11. Hotham, flaxmillers. The Dominion special girder-frame cycle, the latest and best, now on sale at the Dominion Cycle Co., the Square. Mr Chas. Duff, representative of H. Pannell and Co., boot manufacturers, Christchurch, will bo at the Grant Hotel from April 27 to April 30. Mr W. Pcgden has received a cheque from the Yorkshire .Fire Insurance Co. in full settlement of his claim in connection with the recent fire. A sample shipment of J. Hicks and Son's, London, pianos has been received at Cole's music warehouse, and are now on view at the firm's showrooms and windows. These instruments are a highclass make, and the prices exceedingly low. Easy time payments from £1 per month can also be arranged. Mr A. E. Schlager has'just received a consignment of 100 pairs of ball-bear-ing roller skates for use in his rink in the Lyceum Theatre. The public will now be afforded an additional _ facility for spending an enjoyable evening. A band will be in attendance at the rink to-night. Rev. H. Beggs, formerly resident minister at Cuba Street Methodist Church, will preach to-morrow morning in Broad Street Church, and in the evening ho will occupy the Cuba street pulpit. Many of Mr Beggs' old friends will be glad to have another opportunity of hearing him. The Rev. G. W. J. Spence will be the preacher at Broad Street Church in the evening, the subject of discourse being "Joshua the Colonist." At the Baptist Church to-morrow evening the Rev. F. MacDonakl will begin a series of special sermons on the subject of the "Sinner's death in sin, and the believer's life in Christ." The subjects will cover important questions, such as The Fall, The Atonement, The Reality of Conversion, and the treatment will be an honest endeavour to set forth the teaching of the Scriptures and the evidence of experience upon these matters. The subject to-morrow evening is "Dead in sins! What does it mean?" Vicary and Sons', land agents, Otorohanga, advertise three very fine cheap properties they have for sale on the Main-Trunk line. These farms arc all highly improved, and are to be obtained at prices and terms that ought to be wfttifn the reach of anyone with small capital. Several Manawatu farmers have already taken up land in this locality, and all speak very highly of it, saying that it is almost equal to our £30 and £40 per acre land. Messrs Vicary will be pleased to show intending purchasers over the land, or send particulars on application. A short description of each place is given in their advertisement in to-day's issue of the "Standard."
