A SALVAGE SALE.

Messrs Millar and Giorgi are bus.'iy engaged preparing their salvage stock for the great sale that is to be held in order to- effect its clearance. The stock has been removed to their own promises, which are being prepared for the sale. The new building is not quite completed, but it is sufficiently advanced to enable the sale to be held there.. The opening date has not yet been fixed, as it will take some days to mark all the salvaged goods, but it will be early next week. The date will be announced as soon as possible. The stock is a heavy one, and much of it- has been, but slightly damaged bv water. Messrs Millar and Giorgi intend "to effect as early a clearance as possible in order to enable them to restock* with entirely new stuff, which b on order. AUCTION SALES. N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., advertise a sale of town property in Palmorston for Saturday, May 14, under instructions from the -• Registrar of the Supreme Court. The Manawatu Auctioneering. Co. advertise particulars of Mr Tunbridge's clearing sale., As Mr Tunbridge. is leaving Palmerston the auctioneer is instructed to clear every line. Amongst tho other lines, wo may mention four; very fine oil paintings by Rolleston; these are in themselves works of art, - and are handsomely mounted. There is also an iron frame piano in really good order, two nice duchess chests, washstands to match, and all tho other sundries found in what is a really an exceptionally well-furnished cottage home. Buyers can inspect the goods on Thursday afternoon or morning of sale. _ _ """• Harry Palmer has received instructions from Mr La'ir, who is giving up business owing to ill-health, ; to sell tho contents of the Mansion House (private hotel).
