It is estimated that mails from England could be landed in Sydney in 27 days. Received March 15, 10.5 a.m. Sydney, March 15. Soaking general rain is falling. An attempt was made to derail the train whereto the Chief Commissioner's car was attached at Katoomba. Heaps of stones, placed on the line, caused the engine to partly leave the rails. The Commissioner was not aboard at the time.
