WHAT A RELIEF. A well-known scientists was lecturing on the sun's heat, and in the course of his remarks said: "It is an establshed fact that the sun is gradually losing its heat, and in the course of some seventy millions of yeare it will bo exhausted; consequently, this world of ours will be dead, and, like the moon, unable to support any form of life.'.' At this juncture a member of his audience rose in an excited manner and 6aid: "Pardon me, professor, but how many years did you say it would be before this calamity overtakes us?" "Seventy millions, sir," said the professor. "Thank God !" was the reply, "I thought you said seven .millions !"
