ARRESTING AN ANARCHIST

Ten Odessa police attempted to arrest Slavinski, a notorious anarchist, who kept the police at bay with two revolvers, wounding three, and thus escaped. Eighteen police, armed with carbines, again discovered him the following day. Slavinski, firing from a house, killed one and sevcrly wounded three. Slavinski finally died after receiving seventeen bullet wounds.
