IN THE RUTLAND HOTEL ARSON CASES. '.Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 8. In connection with the charge of arson and perjury against Davis and Hayncs arising out of the Rutland Hotel fire at Wanganui, Messrs Wilf'ord and Levi, solicitors, Wellington, instructed by the prisoners, have prepared an application under the Crimes Act for a change of venue to some other place in the Dominion, preferably Wellington, on the ground that public feeling in Wanganui against accused is so great that it is in the interests or justice such removal should take place.

A number of affidavits have been prepared and filed to-day, and application for removal will "be heard at Wellington before a judge of the Supreme Court, the Crown Prosectitor here acting on behalf of tfie Crown Prosecutor at Wanganui.
