OPENED IN SYDNEY. (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright./ (Peb Press Association.) SYDNEY, March 8. Lord Cholmsford, Governor of Queensland, opened the Mitchell Library, a handsome stone building erected by the Government in Macquario street to house the library bequeathed to the State by David Scott Mitchell. The library consists of over 60,00 C books, many valuable objects of art, and pictures. It is altogether the finest collection of records of Australian history in existence.
