HAYWARD'S
Another large audience was roused to the highest pitch of enthusiasm at the Opera House last evening by the realistic representation of a motor boat race. It is a picture particularly appropriate these hot nights, and as exciting as a horse race. The dramatic studies are all of a first-class type, and additional charm is lent to the evening's entertainment by the reproduction of some excellent scenic studies. The programme will be repeated for two more nights only, with a special matinee at 2.3D to-morrow afternoon for children.
The moving pictures depicting Sir Ernest Shackleton's Dash for the Pole will be shown in the Opera House for three nights commencing February 28. Mr Charles Hebden, who has just concluded an engagement with Mr J. C. Williamson's Dramatic Co., has been engaged to pilot the Shackleton Picture Co. through the remainder of the New Zealand tour.
