In the Sackville barony case the claimant informed Justice Bingham that since he was not allowed to fetch evidence from Spain to prove that Don Oliva was a bachelor, he must withdraw his petition though it broke his heart. Sir Robert K.C., counsel for the defence, replied on the whole case and produced a copy of claimant's mother's marriage register in 1851 with Oliva. . „ The oopy was stamped, and the certificate was stamped 18,541, and was found amongst the woman's papers. It was alleged that it accorded with the church register before the latter was tampered with about 1900. Judgment was reserved.
