Mrs Groves inserts a thanks notice. Competitions in home industries at All Nations' Fair are advertised. Railway Department advertise train arrangements for Dimnovirke A. and P. Show. The annual general meeting of mombe re of the Ashhurst Public Library will be held on Saturday. A notice re dissolution of partnership is inserted by W. T. Simons and Co., Raumai. A replace advt. in reference to the running of the Rarawa between New Plymouth and Onehunga and the farce charged appears on page 1. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., are local agents. W. F. Durward and Co., Ltd., hold a sale of remnants on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The goods will be offered at half the marked sale price, and the opportunity will be presented of securing useful lengths of material at very low prices. The residents of Komako and district will notice by an advertisement in another column that the annual Horticultural and Industrial Show will be held in the Komako Hall on February 18. Entries close the same day at 11 a.m., and the hall will be open to the public at 2 p.m., admission being 6d. The U.F.C.A. announce a great stockreducing sale of glass and chinaware, to commence on Thursday next. Being considerably overstocked in this department, the stock must be reduced. Read the advertisements in this paper, and you will be able to form some idea of the reductions made on tho prices of these goods. Mr S. Santos, of the Rising Sun Cafe, next Council Chambers, announces that he gives special attention to luncheons for business ladies and gentlemen. The ladies' room, which overlooks the beautiful lakelet reserve, is fitted up with every convenience, and ladies requiring a nice luncheon or afternoon tea are invited to give it a trial. All meals are served in first-class style, and every attention paid to customers. Orders by 'phone 120 will be promptly attended to. H. Bergcrscn announces that he has taken over his father's blacksmith's business in Broad street, next the Salvation Army barracks. This business has been established some 30 years, 17 years of which have been under the management of Mr 11. Bergersen, the present proprietor, who hopes by strict -attention to business to merit a continuance of the support accorded his father. Special attention will bo paid to horse-shoeing, which will be carried out under the personal supervision of Mr Bergersen. All kinds of general blacksmith s work is also undertaken, and lawn mowers sharpened and repaired at the shortest notice.
