TO PROSPECT THE TARARUAS.
COMPANY FORMED.
MASTERTON, Feb. 2. A representative meeting of business men and settlers was held to-day, when it was resolved to establish a Wairarapa Minerals Prospecting Company. The number of shares was fixed at 1000 at £1 each, and as soon as 250 shares arc subscribed the company will be registered as a limited liability company. The meeting was enthusiastic, and a groat many shares were taken up in the room. The proposal is to thoroughly prospect the Tararua Ranges. Samples of quartz obtained from the range in question were submitted to the meeting. The following provisional directors were appointed Messrs C. E. Daniell, W. C. Buchanan. D. Donald, W. B. Chennells, J. 0. Ewington, J. Hunter, R. Kibblewhite, J. Caselberg, A. Henderson, G. C. Suminerell, J. Hesscy, D. J. Cameron, and W. PI. Cruickshank. Mr R. Brown was appointed secretary.
