.». (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Jan. 11. Replying to an Otago Daily Times reporter yesterday as to the truth or otherwise of a paragraph in an Otago newspaper that the Hon. Thos. Mackenzie ie now a full salaried Minister of the Cabinet, Sir Joseph Ward stated that the paper was a "bit ahead of it." He added that some such arrangement as that suggested was under consideration, but pointed out that anything affecting the personnel of the Cabinet had first to receive the approval of his Excellency the- Governor. "If you had asked me about this to-morrow," said Sir Joseph, "I might have been able to give you' more definite information."
