Definition of a Hack. —Hack means a horse that has not, at time of nomination, won a race of the value of 100 sov6 or over, or race 6 of the collective value o€ 260 sove. Nominations for all races and final payments for the Guineas close with the Secretary, Ashhurst, on SATURDAY, December 4, at 9 p.m. Handicaps will be declared on or about Acceptances close on WEDNESDAY, December 15. 'at 9 P- m - A mT ~. TC , RULES AND REGULATIONS All races to be run under the New Zoaland Rules of Racing. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Aehhurst, with entrance money enclosed, name, age at time of entry, and pedigree of horse; also names of owner and trainer, and colours of rider. Any person running a horse in colours other than those named at the time of entry will be fined 1 sov. Entries by telegram and telephone must be confirmed in writing by the following mail. All horses in which the eame owner haa any interest shall be bracketed on the totalisator, and owners of such horses shall give notice to the Secretary not later than the hour of acceptance. ' All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary one half-hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 2 sov6. Owners are responsible for penalties. Any horse whose nomination or acceptance fees are unpaid may not be allowed to start. The. jockey's minirmim fee, as for a losing mount, shall be paid at or before the time of weighing out.
