FIRE ON A FERRY STEAMER.
EASILY EXTINGUISHED,
(Per "Press association.! WELLINGTON, Nov. 9. A fire broke out shortly after five o'clock this morning in the bunkers of the Harbour Ferries Co.'s steamer Pilot at the ferry wharf. The outbreak was observed by a member of the Tutanekai's crew, who promptly got on a stream of water and extinguished the, flames. The damage was not extensive.'
