«» . YOUTH'S STRANGE DEATH. (Peb Peess Association.) THAMES, April 15. William Reid, aged 18, met his death in a strange manner last night. With some friends he was out on theHauraki Gulf on a fishing excursion. On the return voyage he went to bed in a cabin and ap-j peared in the best of health.-. When . the launch arrived at Thames Reid was found unconscious. Medical assistance was summoned but life wasextinct. The doctor expressed the opinion that death was caused by the inhalation of benzine fumes. Another passenger said be felt ill, it is believed from the same'cause.
