DRUIDS' LODGE.
The fortnightly meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids was held last night, Bro F. Jackson presiding. There was a good attendance of members.
Three financial and one honorary candidate were initiated, and two proposed for membership. The resignation of P.A. Bro Bucknell as minute secretary was accepted with regret, and it was decided to make him a small presentation on April 7, in recognition of his services to the lodge during a long term of years. ' The annual report and balance-sheet, which showed total funds of £1900, and an increase of £180 for the year, was adopted.
The Entertainment Committee announced that arrangements had been made to commence the lodge card tournaments next lodge night. Several members also handed in their names for the inter-lodge card tourney which commences in May.
The Social Committee announced that the eocials were "now in full swing, and that they intended holding the next on Wednesday next.
It was decided to vote a member in needy circumstances sufficient money from the benevolent fund to pay his ledge fees. fs After passing the usual sick : pay accounts the lodge was closed, and an adjournment made for refreshments, cards, etc.
