PASSENGERS TO BE QUARANTINED.
(Per Press Association.) . WELLINGTON, March 20. Some passengers by the Corinthic, due hare on Monday afternoon, will fi P e "J piobably from three to four week 9 on Somes Island in quarantine. There are 22 cases of measles and five cases of scarlet fever on board. So far a . present arranged the Health Department will endeavour to make provisi, on shore for the measles cases, ana tne scarlet fever cases will go into the Hospital. In the case of those who have come into contact with the persons suffering from the diseases named they will certainly spent some time on Somes Island, and if the 6teps now being taken ;to accommodate the measles cases on chore are not completed they will go to Somes Island also There is plenty of room on the island, accommodation being available for over 300 persons. There is no reason for .public alarm, as strict measures will be taken in regard to the segregation of cases. The working of the ship will not be interfered with.
