The divorce case, Stirling (Laird of Kippendavie, Perthshire), against his wife and Lord Northland, eldest .son of Lord Ranfurly, and the cross suit Mrs Stirling against her husband and Mrs Atherton, who was connected with the Yarde-Buller case, is exciting interest. Revelations are being made of the doings in smart society, and 70,000 words were telegraphed from Edinburgh to the press. Lord Alverstone, at the Sphinx dinner, said he could not imagine anything worse for the public morality .than such divorce reports.
