FEILDINGr, January 25. A slight earthquake shock was felt at three minutes past eight last night. The weather has been oppressively warm during _ the past week. A good shower of rain fell this morning, and there is a. pleasant' change in the temperature to-day. -
CARTERTON. January 25: A man named William Monk, aged 40 years, employed at Mr Rathbone's Almiral run sawmill, has disappeared. He was last seen on January 3, and had been drinking, and was suffering from delirium tremens. The Carterton police were informed on Friday week, and they organised search parties, but could find no trace of the man. On Tuesday he was seen, but eluded pursuit, and on Thursday the camp safe was robbed. Tho search still continues.
