The men, led fry tHe officers, Capt. Loxley and Lieut. Dinwiddie, then gave three hearty cheers in-reply and three more for Mr 'and Mrs Devine, their hosts. Prior to leaving the _ .Hall, where the seamen and marines wore_ quartered' during their visit, Lieut. Dinwiddie R.N., and Capt. . Loxley r of the, Marines, congratulated Mr and Mrs Devine and staff on the manner in which they liadcatoreri for themselves and their men while in Palmerston. Lieut. Goldsmith, of H.M.S-. Encounter, and Lieut. of the D. Battery, also spoke in, 'eulogistic terms of the treatment received).
