SPRING SHOW.
CATTLE DIVISION.
It is an interesting feature in connection with the coming show that the entries in all divisions are exceptionally good and each division vies with the other in point of interest. The cattle classes are no> exception!. Conspicuous among these are the entries in the division for Jerseys, which total 54, the largest entry being in the srearling5 r earling bull class, in which tho following are among the breeders represented: —Messrs Dermer, A. Buchanan, S. R. Lancaster, Paul Hunter, J. O. Batchelar, E. Eagle, J. A. McCrea and R. Bannister. In the classes for cows there arc also good entries, that for cow with calf at foot containing 11, while in the class for two-year heifers there are 9, and for the pen of heifers 8 entries. There are 35 entries in the Ayrshire division, among the exhibitors being Messrs Cuff Bros., Slack Bros., W. T. Harre, T. Cblpman and the Porirua Mental Hospital. The largest entries' for any individual class in this division is also in that for tho yearling bulls. The Shorthorn exhibitors include Messrs W. Taylor (Waikato), A. N. Williams, Dalziell Bros., W. H. Booth and the Mt. Herbert Estate. There are 23 entries for the Hereforde. Messrs G. F. Moore, G. Wheeler, E. Sliort, J. McGregor,. D. P. Buchanan and C. A. J. Levett being among the exhibitors. Mr A. S. Carlyon, Waipawa, is exhibiting for the first time in the Aberdeen Angus class. The Holstein Fresians are represented by 19 entries from Messrs W. I. Lovelock and Newton King. Then there are four classes for dairy cows in milk, for which 27 entries have been received from Messrs Lancaster, Crook, A. Richards, W. Anderson and P. J. Quirke.
