Mr Farmer, don't begrudge your wife and daughters the money spent on drapery. Remember that they do a good portion of the work on the farm, and are entitled to some remuneration. Don't go to an auction sale and buy a big parcel of stuff and expect them to be delighted with it, because the goods are not at all what they like. Let your wives, who are experienced, do the shopping.
