AUCTION SALES

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, draw the special attention of those requiring Lincoln sheep and others interested to the unreserved clearing sale which they are holding at Fern Flats, Marton, on account of Mr Dugald Thomson on Wednesday, the 28th inst. The Lincoln sheep to be offered are descendants of the flock bred by the late David Peacock and rams used were selected sheep from the flocks of those well-known breeders, Messrs Rayner and Hamilton. The sheep are all in splendid order, and we strongly recommend those in search of first-class Lincolns to take advantage of this opportunity of securing same. The cattle were also bred on the property, and are well bred and in good condition. For the convenience of buyers, a conveyance will leave the White Hart Hotel, Marton, at 10.30 o'clock, returning in time to catch evening trains. Note hour of starting, 12.30 o'clock.

Hudson and Marriatt hold a pig sale at Levin on Friday.

Abraham and Williams, Ltd., hold a special spring horse sale in the Waikartae yards to-morrow, when they will offer 80 young horses on account of different vendors. The horses are a fine collection, and should be keenly competed for. Dairymen and other interested are. reminded of the bull fair to be held at the Feilding yards to-morrow by Gorton and Son on behalf of Messrs Cuff Bros. The bulls comprise well-bred Shorthorns, Jerseys, Herefords, Ayrshircs and Holsteins, so that buyers will have a good selection offered them.

With this issue Mounsey and Co. make additions to Mr Shute's sale. The list is a very extensive one, and comprises furniture that is seldom offered to the public by auction. Most of the. larger articles have been imported, and include everything that is usually found in a, well-furnished home. The auctioneers have arranged for the convenience of town buyers for a 'bus to leave the Post Office at 12 noon day of sale. Luncheon will be provided at the sale. A perusal will suffice to show that the auctioneers are selling some of the finest furniture ever offered, and those requiring good English furniture should not miss such an opportunity. Buyers are reminded of the sale_ of Mr Beadnall's furniture, on the premises, Hereford street, at 1 p.m., on Wednesday. Amongst many good lines there is a very nice dog-cart, quiet staunch horse, express, good set of harness and riding saddle; also, furniture as per adlist, all of which is in the best of order and condition, and as the goods are being sold under bill of sale the instructions are to clear everything. The sale, to be conducted by .the Manawatu Auctioneering Company, presents a rare opportunity to buyers who require firstclass furniture, or, indeed, any of the above-mentioned lines, at a moderate cost.
