EVENTS WORTH NOTING.
Abraham and Williams, Ltd., advertise several farms for sale. Lecture by Rev. D. Hircl in Congregational Church schoolroom to-night. Subject: "Chinese Mission Work." Meeting at Rorigotea on Thursday ovening to form an Old Boys' Association. After the ordinary meeting of the Kechabite Lodge to be held to-night a debate on the subject "Are women intellectually equal to men?" will be held. A full attendance is requested. The funeral of the lute Mrs Letry Wiggins will take place oh Wednesday : nt 1 p.m. Service at All Saints' Chufcch at 2 p.m. A meeting of ex-soldiers in connection with the Dominion Scouts will be held at the Opera House on Friday evening. The funeral of tho late J. Johnson, Linton. will take place to-morrow. The Rough Rider Clothing Company. Ltd.. having opened a branch in Pal■jnerston North, next the Clarendon , Tlotel, are prepared to supply their wellknown brand of clothing, and in this connection a special advertisement will appear in to-morrow's issue.
