(From Our Own Cokeespondent.) OTAKI, Wednesday. At a meeting lield here last night the two senior teams of Otakl decided to amalgamate, and to be known as the Kia Toas. Some 40 persons were present. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Mr W. M. Simcox ; presidents, Messrs Harvey, Cootes, Barrow, Mcßeath and McKegg; vicepresidents, Messrs DeLach, St. George ; Penn, Huthwatie, Heina te Ao, Ling, Hakaraia te Whena, J. "Wood and T. O'Rourke; vice-presi-dent to H.R.U., Mr Kinjfi Tahimi; delegates, Messrs Bermasconi and Barrow; secretary, Mr Kingi Tahimi; treasurer, Mr Wliare Gray; management committee, Messrs Walker, Bermasconi, Barrow, Hakaraia, and G. Armstrong; match committee, Messrs Kingi, Barrow and Whata Hakaraia; junior selection committee, Messrs Cook (2), Bell, Freeman and Griffith. 1 The horticultural flower show which is taking place to-day is a great sue- j cess despite the recent, drought and j otherwise unfavourable weather. The ' vegetable class is highly satisfactory, likewise the domestic class, but cut blooms are scarce. There was a very fair attendance of the public this afternoon. One of the best, exhibits is farm produce by the boys of the j Weraroa training farm*. It has been decided to proceed with i the erection of a new Aglican church j at Ilikiorangi as soon as the timber j is available. _ j Owing to the serious illness of ; Mrs Smith, our local postmistress, I Miss Smith, is on leave of absence. Her place is being taken by Miss Stevens, of Wellington. _ j The engagement is announced of j Miss Ina Curtis, of Manakau, and Mr j D. K. Logan, of Masterton.
