AUCTION SALES. Harry Palmer reminds buyers of furniture that tho sale of Mr Pankhurst's household effects takes place on Monday, March 23rd, at one o'clock. The houso is No. 47, Waldegrave Street, and as Mr Pankharst is leaving the colony everything will be sold without reserve. The furniture consists of the usual items to be found in a 5-roomed house. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., advertise particulars of Mr J. R. McDonald's annual sale of surplus stock, which will be held at Levin on Friday, April 10th, at 1 p.m. Messrs Abraham and Williams advertise a clearing sale of dairy stock on behalf of Mr J. S. Jones, of Boundary Road West. STOCK MARKET. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report:—We had a fair entry of sheop at our Feilding sale on the 20th inst., but owing to the very largo proportion of aged and second-rate ewes yarded, this class of stock was very dull of sale, the majority bringing little more than boiling down price. The demand for good, sound young sheep was again keen, and there was rather more enquiry for lambs than there has been of late. Our principal sales were: — syr Lincoln skinned ewes Bs, mixed age ewes 4s 9d, 9.m. ewes 7s 6d, full mouth ewes 4s 6d, 2 and 4-tooth ewea (small). Us 6d, .full-mouth rams 20s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—Apiti sale: There was a large entry of sheep and cattle at Apiti sale on Tuesday, 17th inst. Bidding showed a decided lack of animation. We, however, eventually succeeded in quitting a very fair proportion of the yarding. Prices, however, were quite on a par with down country sales. Quotations: —Sheep: Fat cwea* 10s 2d, mixed lambs 2s 6d, 3s 9d, 5,i, 5s 9d, 6s, 6s 6d; 4-tooth ewes 14s 6d, 2-tooth ivcthers 10s to lie, 2-tooth to f.m. ewes 10s, 6-tooth to f.m. ewes 5s 6d, 2-tooth Romney rams 18s to 225, 2-tooth Lincoln rams 30s. Cattle: Mixed weaners 16s 6d, fat. cows £3. Feilding: At Feilding on Friday we had a very heavy yarding of sheep. Owing to the wet weather the attendance of buyers was small, and a dragging sale resulted. We were successful in placing the bulk of our yarding at prices somewhat in favour of purchasers, and very few lines -were turned out unsold. Quotations: —Cull ewes Is 7d to 3s, s.m. ewes 6s to 6s 9d, cull 2-tooth ewes Bs, 4yr ewes 11s to 13s 3d, 2-tooth ewes (small) 10s lOd, cull lambs 2s 9d, good lambs 5s 6d to 6s 6d, rape lambs 7s 10d, fat and forward ewes12s.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report;" on tho Flaxbourne sale:—Our entry totalled 1100 sheep and 36 rams. Prices ruled as follows: —2-tooth wethers 7s 9d. store lambs 5s to 7s lid, 6 and 8-tooth ewes lls 9d, English Leicesfcers 2 and 4-shear rams to 2gns, aged halfbred rams 5s 3d. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on the Waikanae sale: —A very heavy yarding of sheep came forward, and a few pens of cattle. The market was good, and we sold the whole entry with the exception of three pens. We quote: —2-tooth ewes 14s lid, small 12s 3d, 3tooth wethers lls 7d to 12s, fat wethers 15s 6d, fat ewes 12s 6d, breeding ewes (mixed ages) 9s 7d to 10s Id, . culls 4s lOd, small ewes (mixed ages) 8s 3d, lambs (small) 6s 2d and 4s 3d to 5s Id and 5s 4d, rams, 2-tooth, from 2£gns to 3igns: old rams 255, lat cows £5 10s, forward heifers £3 2s.
