Per Press A«nrmTion WELLINGTON, Dec. 5. An emergency meeting of the Wellington Harbour Board was held this afternoon to decide what action the Board should take now that the Union Steamship Company has acquired a controlling interest in the Patent Slip Company. The question was discussed in committee. On resuming the Board decided to instruct its solicitors to take steps to acquire the property and assets of the Patent Slip Company, either at a price to be mutually agreed upon or compulsorily. The scheme to reclaim a wide area of Evans' Bay to provide space ior the industrial expansion was approve:! by the City Council to-night.
