Per Press Association. NAPIER, December 6. Luther Martin Murray was charged at the Magistrate's Court with stealing a horse and foal at Dannevirke, ,and 112 sheep at Takapau. Accused was remanded to Dannevirke. DUNEDIN, December 6. Some buildings condemned by the District Health Officer not having been removed, proceedings are to be instituted against the owners. As less than a thousand bales are offering, the Dunedin wool- sales set down for the 19th inst. will probably be abandoned. % PAHIATUA, This Day. Mr Martin, organising secretary of the Polictical Reform League, addressed a meeting here last night, the Mayor presiding. He received a very attentive hearing, and it was unanimously decided to form a branch in Pahiatua. DUNEDIN, This Day. John . Hunter, alias Robert Findlay, was brought before the Supreme Court for sentence on a charge of horse-stealing, to which he had pleaded guilty in the Lower Court yesterday. He was sentenced to six--months. In the case Major v. Major, undefended wife's petition for divorce, on the ground of desertion, a rule nisi was granted, to be made absolute in three months.
