Per Press Association. DARGAVILLE, December 2. Edward Mulhern, about nine years old, was bathing in the Kaihu creek on Sunday afternoon. He was unable to swim, got out of his depth, and was drowned, in the presence of his mother, who made a determined but ineffectual attempt to rescue him. The body has not yet been recovered.
