Orient dance to-night, Foresters' Hall. Fortnightly dance at Kelvin Gr6ve Hall to-night. Notice is given of intention to issue an insurance policy in lieu of one lost. Pohangina Countv Council notifies appointment of Mr Shadbolt as ranger. Tenders are invited by Mr T. H. James, architect, for erection of school at Himatangi. McMurray and Co., Ltd., adverts a large line of cow chaff at ridiculously low prices. Card tournament between No. 1 and 2 teams at the conclusion of the Druids' meeting to-night. Tenders are invited by Mr T. H. James, achitect, for erection of additions to Queen's Park School, Wanganui. Mr A. R. Mayo, of the Aorangi nursery, has fruit and shelter trees, shrubs, hedge plants, and other trees for sale. Catalogues will be supplied on application to Mr Mayo. No agents are employed. Messrs H. Collier and Co. notify that they will have on view during Show week nigh-class pianos by the leading English makers. The firm also have second-hand pianos for sale on easy monthly payments. To-night, at 7.30, the Presbyterv of Wanganui will hold a special Home Mission Meeting in St. An. drew's Hall. The work of the Church in the New Zealand backblocks will be dealt with, and the needs of the North Island will be described. The Rev. R. M. Ryburn M.A., of Wanganui, and Mr James McKenzie, one of the Church's most successful Home Missionaries, will be the chief speakers. The St. Andrew's choir will render several musical items. All are invited.
