Glass is very abundant, and the settlers are busy improving thenplaces by buslifalling and fencing. The local cheese factory has closed down after a very successful season. Great crcdit is due to our man - ager, Mr J. Prydc, for the first-class article turned out by him. They have paid out for tbe season 9sd per lb for butter-fat, and may pay 13d with the bonus.
