Blood Stock For New Zealand.
(By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) Per Press Association. Received July 24, at 9.11 a.m. BRISBANE, This day. The Mostyn mares, Dreamer and Drought, have been purchased by Mr G. Gr. Stead, of Christchurch. Teretonga, who was killed at Flemington yesterday, was a five-year-old gelding by Sou'-wester —Swift. He was bred in the Wanganui district, and was trained by his owner, W. H. Keith. He was engaged in the New Zealand and Melbourne Cups.
The cablegram which appeared in yesterday's issue referring to the arrival of " Cruciform " at Caulfield, should have read "Cunieform" (Multiform — Blue fire), who has been purchased from Mr Stead by a patron of A. West's stable. This season Cunieform, as a three-year-old, won the Hawke's Bay Guineas, one mile; Electric Plate, four furlongs, at Eiccarton ; Royal Stakes, six furlongs, at Ellerslie, and "Wellington Stakes, five furlongs, at Trentham. Cunieform holds an unbeaten record up to the present.
