I DUNEDIN, This Day. j Mr Wooif Harris,. of London, a former resident'of this city, has presented 4500 to the Dunedin Jewish congregation to extinguish the debt on the synagogue buildings ' STKATFOKD, This Bay. The Stratford Acclimatisation Society prosecuted a young for killing a wild duck and being unlawfully in possession of same during the close season. The Magistrate fined accused 20s on the first charge, the Society withdrawing the second charge and not pressing ■for a heavy penalty as the action was j meant as a warning.
