Inferior lots are selling at 4d. " market is quiet. 1 . Stocks ' of New* Zealand beef are light and the average prices ruling are 3 3-fcd and 3sd for hind and fore quarters respec- ' tively. "The butter market is dull, unfavourably affeeted by the large quantities on hand of medium qualify. There is a general active demand for best quality. The average price of choice New Zealand butter is 99s per cwt, Australian, 935, Danish 113s. " The cheese market is steady and the demand does not abate. WLite is . quoted at 63s per cwt . A great scarcity exists of coloured, which is at 66s per cwt. , "The hemp market is rather unsettled, the price of g.f.a.q. Wellington on spot to-day is £32 per ton; - April-June shipments £31 per ton; • Manila.—Fair current-on spot to-day - „ is quoted at £1010s per ton.
