He got in the best run of the morfnng to-day, covering seven furlongs in 1.32 A and finishing strongly. The Jockey Club has decided on the all round raising of pme money at the Spring meeting, the opening or which will be deferred till September 29. This will enable them to get a two-year old race on the programme and permit of the Metropolitan being run ion Eight Hours' Day. The prize money in the Spring Stakes and Craven Plate will be raised to JE7SO, the latter carrying Mr G. G. Stead's cup. The Randwick Plate lias been increased to .£IOOO. The Spring Maiden Stakes has been eliminated and the Breeders' Plate of a value of £1250 substituted. The Derby money has been raised to £200.
