The newly-elected general committee of the Manawatu A. and P. Association will hold its first monthly meeting tomorrow morning. A Stratford hotelkeeper has been ordered by the Magistrate to pay to a boarder in his house the value of a hat stolen from rack in the hotel. There was no suggestion that the hotelkeeper was to blame or was negligent. The iuiiranga County Council this morning decided on seyeral works to be considered when next year's estimates are framed. First, that the Foxton Line road, between Awapuni and Long-burn-llongotea road, be made wider and metalled. Second, that a summer road be'made from I'aloierstou to .lackeytown cu Foxton Line when praeable. ' The fatigue of riding is reduced over fifty per cent, by using a Clarkson Popular cycle. From .£l2*
