Homely Information.

& What is more unpleasant or annoying: than any irritation of . the skin ? The great English bard has Said, " There was never yet philosopher who could endure toothache." If we substituted for the last word irritation of the skin" there would still be much truth in the statement. And, of course, we are not all philosophers, but must take our share in the daily concerns of life, including its troubles. The various forms of skin complaint, which we need not name, are unfortunately pretty common ; contagion spreads them rapidly. If you have any such, remember there is an unfailing remedy at hand, which has soothed and healed all manner of skin irritations, and is still doing so. That remedy is Doan's Ointment ; testimony to its worth is universal. Here are some :— Mrs Mamning, Ferguson-street, Palmerston North, says :—" Doan's Ointment is a remedy for skin diseases which should be in every house. I think the vrorld of this preparation, having used it for sores, etc., upon the children. It is beautifully soothing and very rapid in healing. I obtained it at Whiteford's Pharmacy." Doan's Ointment is splendid in all diseases of the skin : eczema, piles, hives, insect bites, sores, chilblains, etc. It is perfectly safe and very effective. Doan's Ointment is sold by all chemists and storekeepers at 3s per box, or will be posted on receipt of price by Foster-McClellan Co., 70 Pitt-street, Sydney, N.S.W. But be sure you ask for DOAN'S.
