B-achel Berkett applied for an order for maintenance against her husband, Win. Ed. Bcrkett, Palmerston, labourer. After hearing the evidence of the applicant,, an order was made for payment of 10s per week, the first payment to be made on December 25.

VOLUNTEER PIIOPERTY. Win. Holley, a late member of the Manawatu Mounted Rifles, was charged with failing to-return certain property of the corps, issued to him as a member of the troop.. Defeendant, who did not appear, was convicted nnd sentenced to fourteen days' hard labour.
