Meeting of Palmerston Cricket Club this evening. Friendly Societies' Clmrcli parade to-morrow.
It is notified in to-day's issue that excellent^ accommodation for families can be 'obtained at Pliuamerton House. This is one of the best seaside resorts in the colony.
Members of the Palmerston N. and Municipal Bands are requested to meet at the Oddfellows' Hal], Cuba street, to-morrow morning to take part in church parade.
Tenders are invited for the erection of a two storied boarding-school at Dannevirke for Mr C. Edkins.
; Cheap coal for the people is the theme of the political orator at the present time, but McMurray and Co, Ltd, of this town, claim to have reduced theory to practice by supplying at rock-bottom rates the well-known Pelawmain coal to which they draw attention in another column. Their cash price list also appears aa a separate advertisement.
An intimation of interest to the produce trade appears in.our advertising columns, wherein Messrs H. Baldwin & Co., of Wellington, announce that they have just landed a large shipment of American Burbank, Australian, and Tasmanian potatoes. Samples and quotations will be forwarded on application. Mr and Mrs Alfred Eussell insert a notice of thanks.
