-The Iv ew Zealand wool Buyers' Association has decided to criminally prosecute any one who knowingly offers for sale at auction bales of woof in the centres ot which inferior wool has been packed. In a circular on the subject the association says;—" Several most glaring cases of ' fraudulently packed wool were discovered last season, one in particular, but owing to' the lack of evidence to prove actual knowledge on the part of the vendor, the buyers were unfortunately debarred from takin<* action; but the vendor had to accept the rejection of all the wool not actually shipped, and at the same time disclose all lots offered by him in the sales, guaranteeing to indemnify buyers against any loss should further lots (of which he was the vendor) be discovered to be falsely packed, for which purpose a sum of money equal to £2 per bale was deposited with trustees to meet any legitimate claims. ;
