Strand Comedy Company "The J.P."
The return to farcical comedy, which the appearance of the Strand Theatre Comedy Company will chronicle in Palmerston on Tuesday next should prove a welcome change to theatre-goers. The company opens in' "The J.P." which has been remarkably popular throughout Australia. Additional interest is lent to the performance by the fact that two London Gaiety stars are among the principals. Both Mr J. J. Dallas and Miss .Florence Lloyd have gained a reputation on the English stage in opera; musical comedy, pantomime and comedy. Mr Dallas, as a comedian, is regarded to have few rivals. Miss Florence Lloyd played the same part as she will assume in the production of "The J.P." here that she appeared in during the comedy's phenomenally successful run of six hundred nights at the Strand Theatre, London. All the members of the company have been chosen particularly for their adaptability to .the forthcoming production. The pljuis for the two- nights of the season are announced to open on Thursday morning next.
