THE ISSUES.
However, the opinions of our contemporary, whatever they may be, are of little importance in this election. What really concerns the electors is the respective attitudes of Messrs W. T. Wood and Fred. Pirani. We take this" opportunity of reiterating that Mr Pirani is a freeholder out and out, and that Mr W. T. Wood has trimmed his sails to the political breeze and is now in favour' of the freehold for the backblocks settler and the leasehold for the Lands for Settlement settler. Voters are invited to consider which candidate holds the strongest position on the land question, and to vote accordingly.
