BERLIN, November 19
The Federal Council approved of tftie •estimates for 1906, adding to the warships, provided under the law of June, 3.900, of five large cruisers for the foreign service fleet, large cruisers for the re•serve and increasing *the torpedoer divisions from 16 to 24. A quarter of « million sterling annually is to be devoted to experiments in submarines. 'The increase in the fleet entails an additional permanent expenditure of one ■million sterling, and also involves an additional 126 officers, and 5463 warrant officers and men.

The stonewall wcls adjourned- at midnighs on Saturday till 10.80 On Monday morning at 11. Mr Reid announced that the Opposition intended to leave the House at midnight to allow the Government to do as they liked. Mr Deakin said he had already sent a message to Mr .Reid that the Government did not intend to sit after midnight, but as this •had been refused, he wouid resume after the Sabbath had passed, and continue till the Government resolution was carried. Either business would have to be done, or another Government appointed. 'Mr Reid replied that he had not received Mr Deakin's message.
