For Second Day will be declared on Tuesday, December 26th, 1905, about 9'p.rn. Acceptances close for First Day on Monday, December 18th, 1905, at 10 p.m. Final payment Manawatu Cup, at scales, 7 soys. Acceptances close for Second Day on Tuesday, 26th December, 1905, at 10 p.m. PENALTIES. Flat Races—The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs, and ot every additional race a further penalty of 61bs. Horses handicapped at Bst 101b and over to carry only half the above penalties. :- Hurdle Races—-The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs, and for every additional race 71bs extra. Owners are responsible for all penalties and allowances. REGULATIONS. To which the attention ot persons entering horses is particularly directed. All Nominations shall be expressly subject to the following, conditions .•— 1. The races shall be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing, and subject to the right of appeal thereby conferred. The decision of a majority of the stewards with refeienee to every matter arising out of racing shall be final and conclusive. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the secretary, Palmerston North. Entrance money enclosed, stating name and age at time of entry, pedigrees, and, in the case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the j owner., and colors of the rider. | 3. Entries by telegram must give full particulars of the horse, and must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity, otherwise a fine of 1 soy may be imposed.
