Westport Coal Company.
This well known firm of coal mer chants, finding that their trade in this district is rapidly increasing, have found it necessary to open a branch of their business in Palmerston North. They have secured uptoidate premises and yards at^the corner of Main and Short streets, opposite the Gas Works, where they will carry on their business. The premises contain} comfortable offices, and a large store-room and engine-room. Machinery driven by a gas engine will be used for sawing wood. The Company intend makiDg a special feature of the sale of their celebrated Coalbrookdale coal which has earned such a splendid reputation all over tbo colonies. A largo supply of coal, coke, and firewood will always be on hand, and orders, wholesale or retail, will receive prompt attention. All parts of the Borough are visited by the Company's own delive; y carts. The coal is procured from the firm's own mines and will be sold at the lowest price for cash only. Firewood end coko will also be supplied at current prices. The Palrnerstan branch will be under the ■ capable management of Mr O. N. Firth, who for some time past has been representing the firm on this coast. The firm's advertisement setting forth the price of their coal will be found in our advertising columns, and an inset is also circulated with to-day's issue, on which will be found instructions how to use their celebrated Coalbrookdale coal to the best advantage. ■■ .
