Election Troubles.
(To the Editor);
Sir, — I see that Mr llickard, in common with many others of Mr Pirani's followers, has adopted their plan of campaign where argument fails they resort to abuse and personalities. As for his evident unbelief in my explanation I know that most men always judge of others by their own standard, and if that is Mr Eickard's standard lie is more to be pitied than blamed. Heaven forgive him! lam not aware of having .questioned Mr Eickard's right to an opinion. I simply said if my question, was an electioneering dodge, what price his letter in the same light. He wants to know who I am, poor man. I'll do my best to help him, I am a man who considers it an honour not to be in any way connected with. Pirani and Co., but. prefers to.support an honest politician. As for knowing more about woolskiris than politics, I was-- not aware that the " plaster tub " was any great exponent of politics, but I have always heard it said that it required a strong back and a thick head.—l am, etc., »
