Apiti Notes.
{From Our Own Correspondent)
The weatker during the present month has been very inclement and stormy. Up "to the present we have had only two days on which rain hus not fallen. The cold weather accompanying the rain has retarded the growth of all vegetation. A long felt want has been supplied by the formation of a public library. The following committee was elected -. Messrs B. Miller, J. Falconer, F. Elliott. H. Vaughan, Dr. Gregory, J. Matthews (chairman), and J. Decke (secretary). The first consignment of books, numbering about 100, is to hand. The increase in the attendance at our public school has necessitated the removal of the gallery in order to provide more seating accommodation. I understand that the public are assiduously practising for the school concert, which is to take place about the middle of Deeeniber, when the operetta, " Breaking Up " will be staged. Mr Lethbridge speaks here on Friday night.
